A
toddler's social,
emotional, physical,
and language
development grows by
leaps and bounds
during this year.
The amazing increase
in new words and
phrases describe
their exciting new
world around them.
Language development
is a large component
of our curriculum.
Our educated
teachers introduce
pre-academic
concepts such as
colors, shapes,
counting and
letters.
We
keep parents
informed of our
toddler's day by
written
communication with
our Daily Sheets as
well as verbal
communication when
they pick up at the
end of the day. The
ratio in the toddler
room is 1 teacher to
every six children
giving our teachers
an opportunity to
work in small
groups.
"My
daughter has been
going to ABC since
she was 7 weeks old
and since day 1, the
smiling faces and
caring attitudes of
all the teachers
have put me at ease.
She is 2 years old
now and I wouldn't
think about taking
her away from the
lasting friends she
has made, the
teachers who she
knows by name and
even talks about on
the weekends! It
makes my heart happy
to see her run to
Miss Allison, her
teacher. If I can't
be with her all day,
at least I know she
is with people she
adores. Nobody knows
my daughter like my
husband and I but,
Miss Allison comes
in as a close third.
